Have you felt pain so bad that you have to grab a chair or lie down? Can you sleep well at night? Every adult has felt such pain once at least in the back or neck.
This might be due to hernia disc, vertebrae, stenosis of spine and strained muscles. But injuries and other factors impact this.
In almost 85% cases, pain is not pinned since even medicine cannot see it in details. Even a magnet resonance cannot tell the details. The back pain is acute and can last for a month, but the chronic that is severe lasts more than month. This pain requires no meds but if it is chronic, it needs remedies and tests.
Each of us has felt some similar pain in these areas. The head feels heavy, the neck is weak and muscles have cramps.
Bad posture, heavy burdens carrying and crouched back all worsen the situation. With age or physical stress even arthritis is reached! Even light workout, bed reading and insomnia can get in the way.
GOOD BACK TIPS
Sitting means weak waist muscles and this needs moving around at least for 10 min. Also, have light workouts. Change the mattress after 5 years and especially if it is deformed.
While sleeping, avid the belly side to keep the neck relaxed.
Run or walk more than 30 minutes. Hike to relax and stretch.
Avoid the heavy loads and lifting too. No heavy bags to damage the joints and spine and this way you avoid an injury.
Keep in mind to bend knees in every activity; carrying a baby, brushing teeth, bringing bags.
THE BACK PAIN IS GOING TO THE NECK TOO – THIS IS A DANGER!
Shoulders are delicate and with the joints, have a big load on them. They are big and flexible and thus have more damage risk. Their soreness is due to:
- Instability in joints
- Bone fracture
- Stiffness in shoulders
- Injury dislocation
WHAT CAUSES PAIN TO THE NECK?
This pain can be acute less than 12 weeks and chronic more than that. Causes for this are:
- Damage in the neck due to stretching (ligament, tendon, muscle)
- Other causes like cramps, too much stretching, bad posture in sitting and walking, stress, no physical activities, all day sitting, bad sleeping position..
REDUCE THIS PAIN – AT HOME
Use hot/cold compress on the areas. Repeat every 3 hours and keep it secure.
Have workouts for pain removal. Do them daily and move the neck often to avoid stiffness. Some such workouts indeed help the neck.
Massages! Relax the muscles this way and if you want this at home, do self-massage.
Also change sleep positions and the pillow too. Have a feather pillow that is softer and better for the neck and head. Also, have memory foam pillow to adapt to your body parts. But, pillow must be changes also after some time. Throw the hard ones and if you sleep on the side, stop spine curving by having a good pillow higher than the head. For trips, have a horseshoe shape pillow.
No stress! This is the root of many health issues, so relax with yoga, meditation and similar.
