While we are speculating about who we are going to see as judges on the new season of Idols SA, we got a hint that Kelly Khumalo has been tipped to be one of the guest judges on the show.
The songstress who has done remarkably well in her career is expected to join Somizi Mhlongo, Unathi Msengana and Randall Abrahams as one of the judges for the season 13 of the reality show.
According to Mzansi Magic’s PR manager Nondumiso Mabece, the management will not be replacing former judge Gareth Cliff, but will instead have four guest judges in the four cities.
However, Mabece would not confirm the names “until the contracts are signed”. But we will surely find out soon as the competition is set to hold its first auditions at the Grand West Casino & Entertainment World in Cape Town on January 14.
In November, former judge Cliff resigned from the renowned show after spending 11 seasons on it.
Meanwhile, after a reliable source claimed that Kelly Khumalo has been tipped to be one of the judges, the news started spreading on social media.
Publicist Linda Moeketsi refused to confirm the rumours when he spoke on the singer’s behalf. He only admitted that the singer was contacted by the Idols SA management, but it was about her performance on the show last year.
“I can’t say nothing really about Kelly and Idols… We have obviously been in contact with Idols in as far as Kelly is concerned about her performance on Idols last year,” Moeketsi said.
“I can’t confirm anything else for now.”
Khumalo who released her latest album My Truth last month has not confirmed anything either.
