Google has released its list of top trends that ruled the internet in 2017. While there are some obvious entries, a few others might just surprise you. Coming to the top trending movies, Bahubali 2: The Conclusion, unsurprisingly, is the trending movie of the year. The second part in SS Rajamouli’s two-part epic was loved by critics and audiences alike, raking in Rs 1,700 crore at the box office. The movie stormed the internet before its release. So, having it on the top of trending list is not surprising at all. Coming in at the second spot was Aamir Khan’s Dangal, the year’s highest grossing film with more than Rs 2,000 crore. Besides these two, there is Half Girlfriend, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Munna Michael, Jagga Jasoos, Raees, Fast and Furious 8, Raabta and Ok Jannu.
Going through the most trending songs, the remakes are trending with Hawa Hawa from Mubarkan on top of the list.The song has gathered around 74 million views on YouTube and was an instant hit. The only international songs trending the list are Despacito from Luis Fonsi and Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You. The list also has some famous romantic numbers like Mere Rashke Qamar, Dil Diyan Gallan, Raabta and Mile Ho Tum Humko. As the Indian loves to keep it Desi, there are some dance numbers like Ding Dang and Mubarkan. Let us have a look at Hawa Hawa, the most searched song of 2017.
Well, some of the icons from 2017 were not able to make it to the list. Yeah, Om Prakash Misra and Dhinchak Pooja did not make it to the list.
