Foot odour doesn’t come with a particular season. In some cases, it may get aggravated or become more frequent during summers. Here’s an easy and effective remedy to get rid of feet odour.

You just need two basic ingredients for it – ginger and water. Ginger possesses a penetrating quality and a drying quality which helps in drying the feet and getting rid of the foul smell from your feet. Ginger also possesses detoxifying properties that help in controlling the sweat and keeping it odourless. It also helps in the production of dermicidin, a protein that keeps the growth of fungi or bacteria that are the main cause of foul odour.
How to prepare ginger massage liquid
Make a thick puree of a big piece of ginger. Boil 1 cup of water and steep the ginger puree in it for 10-15 minutes.
Strain the liquid and massage it on your feet every night before you go to bed. The liquid doesn’t leave any stains on your sheets. You can also wear socks after the massage.
Also, don’t forget to moisturise your feet with a good cream especially during harmattan. The skin on your feet is very sensitive and dries up easily. Regular oil massages also help in making your feet soft and supple. They can also help in getting rid of flaky skin and cracks.
Make sure you go for regular pedicures in winter. Continue this for a week every night to banish foot odour.
