Senior Account Executive at Risk Benefit Solutions, Colin Van Zyl says South Africa is slowly moving towards making electric cars available to the market.
This is in light of the price of petrol increasing and many might be thinking of how to minimise the erosion in their pocket.
Electric cars have become popular in the past few years and are becoming cheaper to produce as well.
Tesla, the company founded by South African born Elon Musk has just released the Tesla 3 and is expected to become available in the country by 2018.
“In Cape Town there is a building that has a level parking for electric cars where they can also be charged. Just like we have petrol stations we will have a place to charge these electronic cars, so drivers will not need to go around with long cables to charge,” says van Zyl on Morning Live.
