A special commission is laying criminal charges against Paseka Motsoeneng, also known as Prophet Mboro.
The Commission for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities (CRL) is probing the financial affairs of several churches.
But Mboro has been reluctant to cooperate.
He failed to provide audited financial statements last year.
The commission says he must also explain his so-called ‘heaven selfies’.
Mboro allegedly sold photos for R5,000.
He apparently said they were taken when he was in heaven during Easter.
He’s disputed the claim, saying he will lay charges against those who created the images.
