It couldn’t be a better couple weeks coming up in the UK. With folktronic music, an arts and culture exhibition and a whole lot of wine – it’s time to get involved.

1. The Wintyr UK Tour – London
When: Saturday 27th August – 8:00pm
Where: Hope and Anchor 207 Upper Street, N1 1RL London
What: This alternative folktronic trio based in London and Cape Town came together and collaborated to create a significant progression in sound and energy. They will bring to you sounds that have been described as cinematic and emotive. With story depth and warlike-oriental percussion, it is a rhythm of teaching and inspiration.
After the birth of their first album, ‘Fury’ and its reaching no.1 on the electronic charts for iTunes South Africa on it’s first day, the trio are heading to Europe and the UK, with stopovers in the cities of London, Berlin, Edinburgh, Vienna and Budapest.
2. Joy Exhibition | Portchie – London
When: Thursday 1st September – Wednesday 14th September (Daily)
Where: La Galleria Pall Mall 30 Royal Opera Arcade Unit 30, SW1Y 4UY London
What: A showcase in the opening of JOY – an exciting exhibition by Portchie. Portchie’s paintings are a celebration of life which he wishes to share with others. His personal philosophy is to do good while you can because you might not come this way again!
The exhibition will run Monday to Friday: 10:00 – 19:00 and Saturday & Sunday: 12:00 – 16:00. Dress code is elegant and remember to RSVP (firstname.lastname@example.org) by 25th August.
3. Saffa Ladies Lunch – Basingstoke
When: Sunday 4th September
Where: Nando’s Festival Place, RG21 7 Basingstoke
What: Yet another opportunity for us girlies to wine, dine and natter away as we love to do. Currently, it looks like it will be hosted at Nando’s in Festival Place Shopping Centre in Basingstoke, but this will be confirmed. So be sure to join the fast and growing Facebook group to keep up to date.
4. Wozani with Wines of SA & Three Men – London
When: Tuesday 6th September – 6:00-9:00pm
Where: South Africa House, Trafalgar Square, London
What: What more could we ask for? Tickets (£22.50) are now on sale for WOZANI and this year SA Wines has teamed up with the Three Wine Men – Tim Atkin MW, Olly Smith and Oz Clarke.
