Actress Kim Engelbrecht has just been announced as one of the judges at the Western Cape Miss South Africa 2017 regional castings, taking place on Saturday, July 30, at the Grand West Casino and Entertainment World in Goodwood, Cape Town.
Kim joins a line-up that includes TV personality Maps Maponyane and radio presenter Bridget Masinga. They form part of the panel for the regional judging which takes place around South Africa during the next month and which sees the inclusion of various guest judges at the different venues.
In a press statement, the actress revealed what she is looking for in a potential Miss South Africa: “I want a young woman who is savvy, confident, charismatic and has an innate kindness.”
“She has to have a good work ethic, stay focused and enjoy the incredible process,” she added.
In the past three years, Kim managed to secure a number of international acting gigs, including a role on British crime series Mad Dogs as well as her latest and biggest gig, a leading role on the US apocalyptic supernatural action TV series, Dominion.
Kim, who plays the role of a soldier-turned angel, Noma Banks, has already shot two seasons of the series, with a third on the horizon.
