Emtee And Co Wins Big At Fm Awards

Emtee won best remix for ‘Roll Up’, Best Hip Hop album, Best Music Video and the Listener’s choice award.

Social media is still abuzz after rappers Mthembeni ‘Emtee’ Ndevu and Refilwe ‘Fifi Copper’ Mooketsi each bagged more than two awards at the 15th annual Metro FM Music Awards ceremony last night in Durban.

Ndevu won Best Remix for his single Roll Up, in which he features Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and Ayodeji ‘Wiz Kid’ Balogun. He also won Best Hip Hop album for Avery, Best Music Video for Roll Up and the Listener’s choice award.

The Roll Up hit-maker also walked away with R400,000 and Mooketsi with R300,000 for each award they won.

While the female Motswako rapper won Best Newcomer, Best Produced Album and Best Female Album for her 20Fifi album .

The most anticipated award of the evening, Song of the Year, went to Nathi for Nomvula.
