The Sunday Times recently published its annual Rich List, revealing the richest people in South Africa and the executives with the highest pay packages.
The biggest salary package in South Africa went to Richemont joint-CEO Bernard Fornas, with a total annual pay of R88 million.
Investec executive director Hendrik du Toit ranked second with a pay package of R86 million, followed by Richemont’s other CEO Richard Lepeu with R85 million.
The top earning telecommunications executive was former MTN CEO Raymond (Sifiso) Dabengwa with R28 million.
